Stephanie Percival's Writing Journey

My writing journey began in 2004, when I was shortlisted for the BBC End of Story Competition. Since then, I’ve continued to learn my craft.

I’ve realised I’ll never make a living from writing, but I get a buzz from seeing my work in print. In 2011 I self-published a novel, ‘The Memory of Wood.’ This is a psychological mystery, set in my home county of Northamptonshire.

My writing explores different genres and themes. I enjoy experimenting with different styles. I’ve been published in anthologies and on-line. Have been short and long-listed many times. Occasionally, I’ve won! Last year, I published a collection of these stories, called ‘How to Catch and Keep a Kiss.’

Listen to me read some of my short stories on the podcast, ‘Steph’s Storyville.’ Just click on the link button below.

I love being a member of Creative Conversations. This is a local creative group which helps to inspire and support my writing journey.
